What grades are considered Upper and Lower School?

Lower School | K4-6th Grade
Upper School | 7th-12th Grade

Drop-off and Pick-up Locations

The Commons

  • One lane to drop-off in the morning
  • Lower School or Upper School students can be dropped off at this location
  • Two lanes in the afternoon for pick-up
  • Lower School students (1st-6th) and 7th & 8th graders that don’t have an Upper School sibling are picked up here

Main Gym/K-Pod

  • One lane to drop-off in the morning
  • K4, K5, and Upper School students can be dropped off at this location
  • One lane in the afternoon for pick-up
  • K4, K5, Lower School students with Upper School siblings, and Upper School students are picked up here

School Day Information

The school day for our Upper School students (7th-12th) starts with the Early Bell at 7:20am. Upper school students are tardy at 7:30am.

Upper School students are dismissed at the end of 8th period – 3:05pm.

*If you have a Lower School student and an Upper School student – you will pick both students up in the Upper School pick-up line.

The school day for our Lower School students (K4-6th) starts at 7:30am. Lower School students are tardy at 7:45am.

Lower School students are dismissed at 2:45pm.

We do offer a half-day option for K4 and K5. Those students are dismissed at 11:45am.

There are a few half-day school days scheduled on our school calendar. When it is a half-day for Upper and Lower School students, Lower School dismisses at 11:00am and Upper School students dismiss at 11:20am.

If it is only a half-day for Lower School students (i.e. Parent/Teacher Conferences), students dismiss at 11:00am.

Our K4-3rd grade classes are self-contained. Information regarding their daily schedules can be requested from your child’s classroom teacher.

Vendor Lunches

At Faith Christian, we do not have a traditional school cafeteria. Students will need to bring a lunch from home, or they can order lunches from one of our local vendors.

Extended Care

Early Bird Morning Care

Parents can take advantage of our Early Bird morning care by dropping students off in the Commons as early as 6:00am Monday-Friday at no additional cost.

After School Care

After school care (Aftercare), is available for both Upper and Lower School students for an additional cost. For more information regarding Aftercare, please contact Mandy Henderson in the school office at 256.236.4499.

Parent Text Alerts and Emails

We utilize the Parent Text Alert and Email system through FACTS quite often. This is the quickest and most efficient way for us to communicate with all of our parents. We know getting a ton of text messages and emails can be overwhelming at times, but know that our goal is always to make sure you have all the information you need.
