Faith Experience
Overview
Faith Christian School has been impacting students in a variety of ways for over forty years.
- Excellence in Academics – Faith Christian School provides a college-preparatory curriculum that will prepare your child for their next level of academic preparation, which for the vast majority of our students will be college.
- Spiritual and Biblical Training – Students at Faith Christian School take Bible as a regular part of their curriculum each year. In addition, our teachers of all subjects and grade levels teach their subjects from a Christian perspective, so that students learn to see the world from God’s viewpoint. We also have chapel services for our students on a regular basis.
- Opportunities for Athletics – Athletically, we are a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA)
- Opportunities for Activities – Faith also offers a variety of classes, organizations, and activities for students to pursue their interests and talents. From classes like art, choir, drama, Spanish, speech, and yearbook; to organizations like Beta Club (academic honorary), Mu Alpha Theta (math honorary) and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA); to activities like student government and homecoming, it seems there is always something going on at Faith.
The Lord has blessed and is blessing Faith Christian School. As our vision is to prepare students for college, for life, and for eternity, our desire therefore is to impact not just the minds of our students, but also their hearts and lives as well.
Academics
Faith Christian School is dual accredited by ACSI and Cognia. We take pride in our highly qualified staff and our rigorous coursework that will challenge our students to think critically and equip them to be problem solvers.
FCS is made up of a Lower School that consists of grades K3-6th Grade and an Upper School that consists of grades 7-12. Our kindergarten classes are in a special section of the school that has been dedicated specifically to them and their needs that we call the K-Pod. 1-6th grade is located in the main building and 7th-12th grade is located in the Lower Building and the East Wing.
Lower School
Our elementary school is made up of three distinct programs with unique characteristics that provide specific training for the students at each grade level.
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes comprise our early childhood program. The lower elementary school is grades one through three and the upper elementary school is grades four, five, and six.

Upper School
Faith Christian High School is fully accredited and offers an exceptional college-preparatory academic program from a Biblical worldview. The academic curriculum includes Advanced Placement English, Advanced Placement U.S. History, dual enrollment classes, and rigorous English, Spanish, Bible, History, Mathematics, and Science courses. Faith also offers diverse enrichment learning activities that include art, choir, journalism, sports, band, and much more.
College Counseling
This department serves to provide individualized care and attention in assisting students with reaching their highest academic and personal potential. We view ourselves as an extension of the families we serve. Dedicated to developing supportive, meaningful, and ongoing relationships with students and parents, our goal is to ensure that every family is given the support and encouragement they need to make informed, prayerful decisions concerning the direction of each student’s life. It is indeed a privilege to help guide our students toward the fulfillment of God’s purposes for them. We believe that God has unique plans for all students, and we strive to help guide them in that process. In addition, the guidance department provides up-to-date information for academic and personal growth, college admissions and standardized testing materials. The guidance counselor serves as a liaison between the student and colleges, universities, military and other post-secondary educational opportunities.

Faith Christian School offers a wide variety of sports from Youth League to Varsity Level and everything in between. Sports are divided into seasons and most of our athletes play multiple sports. Our coaches are all believers and have the same goal as the faculty and staff at FCS that is to pour into our students to create well-rounded men and women who are disciplined and hardworking.

The spiritual side of Faith Christian School is part of what sets us apart from other schools. Faith provides a college preparatory education “from a biblical perspective … so that students are spiritually, academically, socially, and physically equipped for servant leadership to the glory of God.” Thus, the spiritual side of what we do is like the fourth leg of a chair, giving it stability and strength, and unfortunately this is an opportunity that students in very few schools have these days.
All that we do at Faith Christian School is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and His Word and it is our desire to do all that we do for His honor and glory and to point our students to God’s Kingdom. This goal helps us accomplish our vision of preparing students for college, for life, and for eternity.
