Faith Christian Cross Country

At Faith Christian School, our cross country program encourages student-athletes to run with perseverance, using their God-given abilities to glorify Christ. From the first mile of the season through the final race in November, our runners train with discipline and determination while building character, endurance, and faith.

Mission Statement

Faith Christian Cross Country is committed to developing athletes who compete with integrity, perseverance, and courage. Distance running teaches lessons of discipline, mental toughness, and consistency—skills that carry far beyond the finish line.

Just as Paul compared the Christian life to “running the race with endurance” (Hebrews 12:1), we encourage our athletes to press forward through challenges, both in training and in life, with their eyes fixed on Christ. Our coaches strive to inspire runners to grow not only in speed and strength, but also in faith, perseverance, and character that reflect the heart of Christ.

Recent Accomplishments

The Faith Christian Cross Country program continues to make great strides, with our student-athletes competing at a high level throughout the 2025 season.

Our boys team earned a 4th-place finish at the Section Championship, while our girls team finished as Section Runner-Up, with both teams qualifying to compete at the 2025 AHSAA State Cross Country Championships.

At the state meet, Anne Claire Mitchell delivered an outstanding performance, earning a Top 15 finish among the state’s best competitors.

We are proud of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance shown by every member of our cross country program and look forward to building on this success in the seasons ahead.
