In 1974, the small congregation of a new church in Anniston, Alabama had the vision to begin a Christian School. In 1978, they moved into their new location on Ronnaki Road, starting the school that same year with one building, two classes (kindergarten and 1st grade), a headmaster, two teachers, and only nine students. Although it may have seemed so small, the seed of Faith they planted then has taken root, grown, and flourished, extending upward and outward into a legacy that is 45 years strong. It has touched and influenced many who have become a part of the Faith family.
Faith Christian School endeavors to further God’s kingdom by providing an exceptional college-preparatory education from a biblical perspective in partnership with families and churches, so that students are spiritually, academically, socially, and physically equipped for servant leadership to the glory of God.
Our mission here at Faith extends well beyond the classroom. We want our students to be prepared for the current season of life they are in as well as the next. Our goal is to prepare them for college, for life, and for eternity.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that in the beginning, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, created the Heavens
and the Earth, their contents, and their kinds of creatures, including mankind. God made
mankind, a man and a woman in His own image to glorify Him. (John 1:1-3; Genesis 1:1-31; Colossians 1:16)
We believe that all are sinners and therefore unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure.
We believe that salvation is by God alone, by grace alone, by Christ alone, and received by faith alone, and is not based upon any human merit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who, through His perfect life and sacrificial death, atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him alone for salvation.
We believe that Jesus was raised from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust and follow Christ.
We believe that God has established His Church and is gracious and faithful to His people according to His Covenant promises.
We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself.
We believe that the term marriage has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one
woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. We believe that God intends
sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other. (Genesis 2:18–25; 1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2–5; Hebrews 13:4)
We believe that God wonderfully created each person, and although in fallen creation some
of God’s image bearers are born with disorders of sex development, this does not nullify the two genders of Creation or God’s sovereignty in determining gender. (Genesis 1:26–27; Matthew 19:12)
We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Necessity of Christ
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:2
Authority of the Bible
— 2 Timothy 3:14–17
Community of Grace
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say ‘no’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”
— Titus 2: 11-14
Excellence in Academics
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to his own glory and excellence.”
— 2 Peter 1:3
Preparation for Life
“I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
— Romans 12: 1-2
